WINTER CLIMBING

We have been hiking for about 20 years. We have had several interesting experiences which we would like to share with you. We have hiked most of New Hampshire White Mountains. The presidentials are the most challenging in all of New Hampshire. Not in the Presidential's,but one of our most interesting Mt's to hike is Mt.Manodnock. We have hike Mt. Manodnock many times and the most interesting trail is the Pump Belly trail. This trail is 9.5 miles long and its the best trail on the mountain for views. We live in Laconia, NH and are only 6 miles from the Belnap Mountian range. The Belnap mountians range from 1600 ft to 2300 ft. These are easy mountians to climb, but the views are excellent. On this web page we will share some of the fun trails we have done over the years. We hope you will share some of your experiences too. See you on the hiking trail.

We will be adding some of our faviote hiking trails in the near future. Check back again, and don't forget to join our mailing list.

There is something special about climbing a mountain, but only the climbers know. Check out our Hiking designs

We have climbed this mountian many times. We found that the Pumpelly trail to be the best. This mountian is located in Southern New Hampshire. It is a small mountian only 3,165 feet, but it will leave you with an everlastingly impression.
Mountain Monahnock is located in Jaffery, NH. The Pumpbelly trail is on the other of the mountian.
The pumpbelly trail is a lesser know and longer route, but you should enjoy this trail. To reach this trail drive RT# 101 east end of doblin Lake, and turn south on lake road. You follow it lest that .5 miles. As soon as you come to the lakeshore on your right, watch for the trail. its a woods road, and bridle path opposite a shorefront log cabin. There may not be a sign, park were you can. Take plenty of food and water. irs a long trail.

We still have lots more to add to this web page!

The following information is important for all New Hampshire Hikers, and was taken from the AMC news
Thank your Congressmen for more New Hampshire Wilderness As faithful CAN readers already know, a bill is moving through the U.S. Congress that will designate nearly 35,000 acres of new Wilderness in the White Mountain National Forest. The New Hampshire Wilderness Act of 2006 includes a new Wild River Wilderness area and adds Wilderness acreage to the existing Sandwich Range Wilderness. To thank Senators Gregg and Sununu and Congressmen Bass and Bradley for introducing the bill into Congress and encourage them to do all they can to pass the bill into law by the end of this year, click here. http://ga0.org/campaign/wmnf_wilderness_bill For more information on the bill, as well as maps of the Wild River Wilderness and Sandwich Range Wilderness, go to the New Hampshire Wilderness page on AMC's website or contact Julie Wormser at jwormser@outdoors.org. http://www.outdoors.org/conservation/wherewework/wmnf/index.cfm Back to Top We hope to put up some of our favorite hiking trails.  We would like to sh

Resting atop Bear Mountain. Photo: iStockMoose Hill Wildlife Sanctuary, Sharon, Mass.: Massachusetts Audubon’s oldest sanctuary, 1,984-acre Moose Hill features 25 miles of trails winding through a diverse world of rocky bluffs, ferny wetlands, and meadows darting with birdlife. Scan the landscape from a tower atop 534-foot Moose Hill, mosey over boardwalks in a red maple swamp, or clamber atop the precipitous rock outcrops on Bluff Head. A nature center and maple sugar shack add opportunities for exploring the natural and cultural history of the area.

Getting There: MBTA Attleboro commuter rail to Sharon, then follow Moose Hill Parkway 1.5 miles; www.mbta.com.
